In my never-ending quest to capture the beauty of southern Utah, I have now entered the realm of 3D photography. The images on this page are called anaglyphs, and they each consist of 2 black & white images combined in such a way as to produce a 3D effect.
Anaglyphs
An anaglyph is a stereo 3D image consisting of two slightly different perspectives of the same subject, in contrasting colors, which are superimposed on each other. These superimposed images produce a three-dimensional effect when viewed through two correspondingly colored filters.
Viewing Anaglyphs
All that you need to view these photos is a cheap pair of Red/Blue 3D glasses, like the cardboard ones frequently found in magazines and comic books.

Once you have the red/blue glasses over your eyes, just relax and allow yourself time to focus on the picture. It may a few seconds for your eyes to adjust as the image comes into 3D focus. Turning off the lights in your computer room may help a bit too.
